The « Opal Gestion Pêche - OGEP » is a management organization for fishing vessels. The OGEP provides accounting services and support for ship owners about their choices and their orientations. The OGEP services are exclusively oriented towards marine activity and its different specialities.
Created in January 2000, Opale gestion Pêche is a response to the management concerns of the Boulogne artisanal shipowners. It can act particularly in the assembly or follow-up of subsidy files for the construction or modernization of vessels, or the monitoring of maritime labor regulations and their repercussions on employment contracts and crew pay.
OGEP’s main missions are:
- Keeping of management accounts (profit and loss accounts and balance sheets), presentation of accounting documents,
- Dispatch management: crew pay,
- The preparation of tax filing,
- The establishment and monitoring of vessel construction and modernisation files (which must be submitted by an approved fisheries management group),
- Relations with administrative authorities (Maritime Affairs Administration, Tax Services, Regional Council, General Council) and banking institutions.
- Requests for partial unemployment coverage
- The search for grants (FEAMP or FFP)
