The French Office for Biodiversity (OFB) is a public establishment dedicated to the protection of biodiversity. One of its priorities is to respond urgently to the challenges of preserving living organisms.
The OFB brings together the agents of the French Agency for Biodiversity (AFB) and the National Office for Hunting and Wildlife (ONCFS). By uniting these two institutions in the fight for nature protection, it is possible to bring together expertise on aquatic, terrestrial and marine environments and to form a common front against the threats to biodiversity in France. Bringing together these two entities, whose agents are located throughout France and in the French Overseas Territories, also ensures a solid anchoring in the territories to act on a local scale.
