Corsica university

STELLA MARE (Sustainable TEchnologies for LittoraL Aquaculture and MArine REsearch) unit’s activities focus on ecological engineering in the marine and the coastal field. Those activities take place in the Università di Corsica projects development aimed to transform the research in richness.

The UMS STELLA MARE aims at the control and integrated management of the fishery and coastal resources of Corsica to allow a transfer of technological innovations to the professionals of the sea in order to allow them to:

– Enhance and diversify their production, on species from the Corsican coast,

• Manage their natural resources for sustainable development
• Promoting responsible fisheries and sustainable aquaculture

The platform’s scientific project is focused on research, technology transfer to professionals and awareness raising, especially towards the younger generations.
