The Coopérative Maritime Étaploise brings together multiple structures and services, which plays a major role in the level of activity in Boulogne-sur-Mer and Étaples-sur-Mer. 700 people provide support and technical assistance to fishing professionals. The CME directly employs 220 fishermen and several hundred people ashore for the provision of services and the valorisation of production. CME’s fleet is made up of 44 boats, which land 10,000 tons of fresh products each year at the Boulogne-sur-Mer fish auction.
