This important project aims to provide the means (creation of a  maritime platform) and the methods (scientific, economic, environmental, educational, formative, transfer of technologies, research, ecological engineering) which are required in order to sustainably control and manage Corsica’s littoral and halieutic resources and which will: (i) allow the deterioration of resources and habitats, the breakdown of ecosystems and the losses in biodiversity to be reduced , (ii) ensure that the fisheries are restored to an optimum and sustainable level of production,(iii) develop the breeding of Corsican littoral species through new aquaculture production techniques. The specific aim is to promote the sustainable development of traditional maritime artisanal fishing and aquaculture through planning and local concerted co-management of the halieutic resources of Corsica’s coastal ecosystems.

Labellised by the AQUIMER Pole of Competitiveness on the 28 May 2013, this project is co-labellised by Pôle Mer Méditerranée.
