The VAMACOPIA project aims to study the added value (extraction and/or purification) of by-products, in both food and non-foodstuff areas from agri-food industry channels.
The first phase allowed a preliminary list of molecules of interest (of high added value) present on the market to be drawn up and also stock to be taken of the available resources per channel (by-products from plant or marine products). This first stage of the VAMACOPIA project therefore resulted in the selection of molecules of interest/by-product pairs per channel represented.
At the end of this first phase, contacts were made with industrialists who wished to develop subprojects based on the extraction of these molecules and this is the aim of the second phase of the VAMACOPIA project.

This project was labellised by the AQUIMER Pole of Competitiveness on the 26th November 2012.
