This proposition follows on from the results of the SEACRET study, labellised by the AQUIMER and MAUD Poles in 2010. In this study, several obstacles regarding the development of packaging in the aquatic products industry were found. The conclusions of this study necessitated the launching of an outlook study on the needs of the sector in terms of robotisation/mechanisation/automation. This is the subject of the project known as MECAFISH.
The overall interest of the MECAFISH project is to define, per trade and large category of products, the unitary operations that could be carried out by mechanisation / automation / robotisation and which will help to improve the competitiveness of businesses throughout the sector.

This study was labellised by the AQUIMER Pole of Competitiveness on the 25th November 2011.
