The OPEN FOOD SYSTEM project is a large research and development anchor project conjugating the activities of several industries: the agri-food industry, electrical goods industry, and the services and digital contents industries.

lt brings together two research and innovation programmes that combine hardware and software, state-of-the-art microtech technologies, information processing and innovative services and digital content:
 - The NOS RECETTES 3.0 programme aims to develop digital cooking solutions for the general public, integrating the definition of a  rich, universal data format for digital recipe bases, applications to help plan and improve nutritional well-being and which take into account customised user profiles, and community exchange solutions for food lovers the world over.
 - The OPTICOOK programme deals with the development of new, intelligent cooking appliances for professionals and the general public: contact-free instrumentation and monitoring of the parameters in order to optimise the cooking of food, without human intervention and automated, allowing the organoleptic and nutritional qualities of food to be preserved.

The ambition is to build a reference ecosystem for digital cooking of the future, making the innovative contents and services of the agri-food, retail, home care, publishing and digital tools sectors available to food lovers who already use household appliances.

This project, labellised by the AQUIMER Pole of Competitiveness on the 22nd April,  2011, is co-labellised by the Vitagora, Cap Digital, Agrimip 'Innovation et Microtechniques' Poles.
