Transversal study of the risk factors of Musculo-Skeletal disorders in the fish trade

Back to list

Processing conditions of aquatic products on shore encourage the appearance of musculo-skeletal disorders: repetitive, rapid and precise movements, the carrying of heavy loads, high work rates, difficult conditions of temperature and humidity?

This major problem of health at work is complex. Its study requires the implementation of a structured, participative and multidisciplinary approach. This approach has not yet been implemented in the aquatic products industry, unlike that of meat.

This project consists of carrying out diagnostics within several companies in order to identify the risk of MSD in the fish trade and of circulating the results and proposing preventive solutions to the profession as a whole.

This project was labellised by the AQUIMER Pole of Competitiveness on  8 November 2007.
